• Spring 2025: The group welcomes David Andersen and Allecia Dodd-Noble to the group. They will both do their doctoral studies in the DeLTA lab.

• Winter 2025: We install the Quantum Design Opticool optical cryostat in lab. This allows for 7T and 2K sample environments directly in house!​​

​

• Fall 2024: The group completes various experiments at ELBE, ESRF, ALS, APS, and Diamond light sources. The group continues to grow with multiple talent undergraduate researchers!

​

• Summer 2024: Another very busy time for the group as we travel to synchrotrons in four different continents (North America, South America, Europe and Asia)!

​

• March 2024: Busy month for the group! We traveled to CLS for an XRD experiment and Minneapolis for the APS March meeting. Check our Instagram page for some photos of both trips.

​

• January 2024: Our Light Conversion Carbide was installed!  

​

• December 2023: We welcome Liam Schmidt to the group. He will do his doctoral studies in the DeLTA lab. 

​

• November 2023: The group traveled to BNL and Diamond for two RIXS beamtimes.

​

• October 2023: We welcome the very talented NU undergraduates Wenchi Liu, Matthew Marsicano, Alex Hunt, Tyler Westerberg, and Alex Poulin to the group. 

​

• September 2023: The DeLTA Laser Lab construction is now 90% finalized. The optical tables are installed. We are just waiting for the lasers to arrive.

​

• August 2023: We travel to the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) for a beamtime at ADRESS.

​

• July 2023: We welcome Edward (Teddy) Mercer as the first Ph.D. student of the DeLTA lab.

​

• June 2023: Alberto de la Torre joins Northeastern University as an Assistant Professor.
